Summary

“All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others。” A farm is taken over by its overworked, mistreated animals。 With flaming idealism and stirring slogans, they set out to create a paradise of progress, justice, and equality。 Thus the stage is set for one of the most telling satiric fables ever penned—a razor-edged fairy tale for grown-ups that records the evolution from revolution against tyranny to a totalitarianism just as terrible。

When Animal Farm was first published, Stalinist Russia was seen as its target。 Today it is devastatingly clear that wherever and whenever freedom is attacked, under whatever banner, the cutting clarity and savage comedy of George Orwell’s masterpiece have a meaning and message still ferociously fresh。

I just can't explain how much I loved this book and I am never judging a book before reading it ever again- how could I ever have said this was a rubbish book? The way it keeps you hooked is insane, I just cannot describe it。 And also it just holds a message which can be applied to sort of every community on manipulation and all sorts of stuff it's just too much I can't explain right now I'm in this aftermath and I am overwhelmed by how good this book was I did not expect it to be this good wow。I didn't count the appendices at the end although I may go back and read them at some point ig, but I've read the book itself so it's probably fine 😅 。。。more

My choice for a classic book this month! I don't think I had read it and it was such an incredible read。 Very hard to put down, and a telling of the future that America took。 Written in 1946, George Orwell was a man ahead of his time。 EVERYONE should read this and wish it was required in schools。 My choice for a classic book this month! This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 A bit naive but very fun story。 I prefer 1984's more dystopian and depressing themes, but while there it's a story about an oppressive government, here it's about how a government like that came to be。 And in Orwell style we don't get a happy ending here either。 A bit naive but very fun story。 I prefer 1984's more dystopian and depressing themes, but while there it's a story about an oppressive government, here it's about how a government like that came to be。 And in Orwell style we don't get a happy ending here either。 。。。more

I remember studying this book in school and did not like it one bit。 Now I read it for the sake of enjoying the story which I really did。 It made me smile at the plot and the cunningness of the pigs especially Napoleon。 Recommend it。 Easy to follow although there are loads of animals mentioned。 A one sitting read, less than a 100 pages。

Simple but very effective metaphors, and an entertaining story。 The characters are fucking animals so I can't speak for them, but I'll just say there is a bunch that can feel like people。。。 ok that was really pretentious sounding。 Anyways, one of my favs Simple but very effective metaphors, and an entertaining story。 The characters are fucking animals so I can't speak for them, but I'll just say there is a bunch that can feel like people。。。 ok that was really pretentious sounding。 Anyways, one of my favs 。。。more

It was pretty good。 I enjoyed the characters and the symbolism that was used。 I wish the ending was a little different though 😭

Slow and straightforward but still seemed to leave me with predictions and minor curiosity。 Entertaining for its metaphorical approach to a reality as old as conversation。 Not a “can’t set the book down” read but still intriguing - Maybe it has a predictable nature or maybe it’s just relatable。

Buen libro, un reflejo de como funciona el socialismo en la vida real

¿Supongo que no soy el único que ahora odia a Napoleón y a un montón de cerdos, cierto?
